Autoresponders–Programmed for Success

If you own a business, it is increasingly important to keep in contact with your customers. You need to answer their questions, assist them in their orders and generally make them feel secure that you are there for them. But this type of customer care can be very time consuming. Autoresponders can be a great solution to this problem. The term autoresponder may sound rather robotic, but it’s not really like that. They are a helpful tool that can help you grow your business in major ways.

When a prospective customer visits your website, it is crucial to get their contact information. Why? Because the average customer doesn’t feel comfortable buying from a website until they have visited it at least five times! So you have to get them back to your site if you want to develop trust with them and provide them with your excellent services in the future. By adding a sign up box to your website (perhaps with an incentive) you can obtain their all-important email address. You are now in a position where you can provide them with relevant information, answer their questions and offer them discounts. And guess what—an autoresponder will take care of all of this for you!

For example, let’s say that a potential customer visits your website and enters their email address. Your autoresponder will immediately send them a customized welcome email. It tells them that you have a wonderful monthly newsletter that they will be receiving, as well as special member-only deals from time to time. It also informs them that they’ll be receiving an email the next day that includes answers to common questions. This email is sent the next day and offers a helpful FAQ, thus allowing you to proactively address their questions. This pleases the customer and also saves you time. Your autoresponder will help you maintain a relationship of trust with customers by sending them customized, professional looking correspondence whenever you wish.

The marketing gurus at Professional Marketing International strongly recommend the use of an autoresponder. From the descriptions above, they may sound complex and difficult to use but this couldn’t be further from the truth. If you have questions about autoresponders, a quick Google search can help you learn more. Or you can contact the representatives at PMI Education. They can help you learn more about how it could specifically benefit your business, as well as assist you through the process of integrating it into your business. Autoresponders are an incredible way to reach out to your customers and potential customers, providing them with the quality care and services they deserve.

What Are ‘Autoresponders’ And Why Should I Use Them?

Chances are that if you’ve been alive for at least a year, you’ve received an autoresponder. Anytime you’ve received an automatic message that said something along the lines of “Thanks for your request (order, question, etc)! We’ll get back to you in 24-48 hours!”, it’s an autoresponder. It’s that company simply trying to reassure you that your message was received and they’re working on it. Mainly, it’s a feel good thing.

PMI coaching has long been a fan of autoresponders, and uses them on many of their products. Especially recommended for entrepreneurs, these handy emails can help any business owner gain a slight edge in success over their competition. Customers like to know that they’re being taken care of, especially when they can’t see it.

Internet entrepreneurs will especially want to pay attention to using autoresponders to fulfill parts of their products. If there are any processes that you go through on a regular basis, which are almost always the same, you should set up autoresponders. For example, if you have to write out an email after every order you receive…you’re wasting TONS of valuable time. What you need to do is get a management system (there are plenty of free or inexpensive ones out there) to help you keep track of your business and send autoresponders.

Now, every time someone wants to learn more about your particular industry or business, you can set up a system that will provide them training without ever moving a muscle. Simply instruct them to send an email to info@yourdomain.biz (or whatever your domain is) and have that email address automatically put them into a group which starts a process to send them 4 or 5 informative emails over a period of 1-2 weeks. SO much easier than doing it all on a case by case basis. And as the Professional Marketing International Real Estate or Internet coaches and consultants will teach you, “Time is Money”!
